Hendrix Consulting Engineers (HCE) is a Consulting Engineering firm that
provides: a) mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and engineering
services, b) commissioning building systems, c) field investigation of current
facilities.  HCE is currently registered in the States of Texas, Florida and

HCE believes that communication is one of the most important ingredients to
successful projects. Therefore we work closely with owners and architects
during the early design and through the construction phases to insure project
requirements are all clearly understood and implemented into the contract
documents.  Typical project requirements include upfront budget constraints,
equipment and operating costs, complexity of system, ease of maintenance
and energy consumption.  HCE analyzes many factors when designing MEP
system tailored to a client’s specific needs.  HCE has earned a reputation for
high performance systems that comply with the design intent and contract
specifications.   Our portfolio consists of a variety of projects ranging from
municipal buildings, institutional buildings, police/court facilities, schools,
educational facilities, office/retail buildings, fire stations, churches, juvenile
facilities and high tech projects.

HCE understands that water and humidity in the Central Texas area are
elements that must be controlled in order to provide durable buildings with
healthy environmental conditions.  Keeping water and moisture out of the
building allows for more efficient control of building humidity by the
mechanical systems. Therefore, HCE coordinates closely with other
disciplines concerning moisture control.  HCE has been incorporating
sustainable design practices since it’s inception.  HCE currently has 4 LEED
Accredited Professionals on staff.  HCE uses a common sense approach to
identify cost effective Green solutions when appropriate.  HCE has extensive
experience in photometric/lighting design, designing standard power and
emergency power distribution systems for buildings.  HCE system design and
layout allows adequate space for inspection, maintenance and cleaning of
systems after project is completed.  We try to balance future owner flexibility
with cost constraints so the final product meets the owner’s needs for years to

HCE is also capable of performing systems commissioning, field
investigation/troubleshooting existing systems, and expert witness services.
Commissioning services scope can include verifying calibration of
temperature sensors, outside air quantities, system air balance report is
verified and HVAC system sequences between heating and cooling are
checked.  System commissioning allows for a more complete project to be
turned over to the owner.

The firm’s personal attention to detail and quick response throughout the
project, including the construction phase, has been the trademark of HCE’s
Professional Services.
